Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner. They agreed that relations between Serbia-Montenegro and Austria are very good and expressed readiness to further improve cooperation.
Kostunica stressed the significance of good relations between Austria and Serbia and pointed out that the Serbian government’s priorities are to build institutions and join the European Union.
Ferrero-Waldner stressed that Austria attaches great significance to cooperation with the countries of Southeastern Europe, particularly Serbia-Montenegro, and she added that Austria also supports the country’s European integration.
She pointed out that Austrian businessmen are very interested in investment in Serbia and stressed the importance of the Danube as a transport resource that connects the two countries.
