In a statement for today’s edition of the Novi Sad daily Dnevnik, Miscevic said that two more key issues are to be discussed at the fourth round of technical talks with the EU, scheduled for July 12 and 13 in Belgrade.
She stressed that formulation of certain chapters of the SAA and the liberalisation of trade in industrial and agricultural products are to be discussed with the European Commission.
Agreement will be quickly reached concerning industrial products, whereas it will take some time for agricultural ones because there are many more products in that domain in the EU, explained Miscevic.
According to Miscevic, at the talks on trade liberalisation of agricultural products issues to be discussed are groups of primary and processed products, as well as fish and wine.
Trade liberalisation of primary products may not fit in the period of the next six years, by which time Serbia should be ready for EU accession, she said.
Even after six years certain agricultural products could be additionally protected and we should try to reach agreement with the European Commission as to which goods that would be, added the Head of the EU Integration Office.
