State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Danilo Golubovic said today that Serbia could export over 200,000 tonnes of wheat this year, which would provide a substantial foreign exchange influx.
Golubovic announced that a good export price can be expected considering the poor situation in Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Russia caused by dry and hot weather.
The price of wheat reached RSD 12 per kilogramme on the Serbian stock exchange, which exceeds this year’s expectations, according to Golubovic.
