Ilic stressed that the Serbian government and the Ministry of Infrastructure, together with the Cuprija municipality, fulfilled their promise and the citizens who lost their homes now have new ones.
He recalled that the government has signed agreements with a number of municipalities to construct cheap flats and added that if municipalities provide locations free-of-charge, the flats for the most endangered social categories, the homeless and the disabled will be built.
So far RSD 200 million has been invested in reconstruction in Cuprija and Paracin due to an explosion in a military warehouse, said the Minister and added he expects the works in these two towns to be soon completed.
The handover of keys was also attended by municipality presidents of Cuprija and Jagodina Ljubomir Maric and Dragan Markovic-Palma.
The land for the construction was provided by the Cuprija municipality. The housing building spans 750 square metres and has 12 apartments.
Gradeks from Cuprija was in charge of the construction works. The total agreed on price of the project is RSD 18 million, VAT excluded.
