Speaking at a seminar on Serbia's branding, organised by the Gallup Europe agency, Bubalo said that the national brand has to promote high quality culture and entail products and services of top quality, entrepreneurship, life quality, educated and well-qualified population, a good infrastructure, healthy environment and appropriate capacities.
According to him, all surveys show that most Serbian citizens believe that Serbia's strategic goal is EU accession. The Serbian government has made a series of important steps to shorten that process.
The Minister explained that EU membership is not a goal in itself, but a motive that encourages economic reform and full transformation of the economy into market economy.
The national brand should change the perception of EU citizens about Serbian people and awaken national pride and revive citizens' hopes, the Minister said and added that the national brand is at the same a powerful tool of the country's foreign policy.
