Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic held today in Nis a regional meeting with directors and representatives of health institutions of southern Serbia to mark the beginning of a campaign for informing the public on patients' rights.
Milosavljevic said that only a well-informed patient can take an active part in his treatment and added that the one-month campaign "You Have the Right" will cost over €50,000.
He explained that this campaign, carried out by the Ministry of Health, includes broadcasting of videos, billboards and distribution of 400,000 brochures about patients' rights.
The integral part of the campaign is a symposium for protectors of patients' rights that will be held on July 2 in Belgrade.
