In a reception organised to mark the fifth anniversary of work of Greek Veropulos in Serbia, Bubalo explained that the interest of international companies in investing in Serbia is increasing as many of unsettled political issues are being solved or are already solved.
He noted that offer and demand on the local market will increase as living standards and purchase power increase.
Transition starts with trade and ends with it, the Minister said noting that there is still space for more international retail chains in Serbia.
Bubalo recalled that he
recently spoke with representatives of Ikea Group, who came to Belgrade with firm intention to open five large retail centres – two in Belgrade and one in Cacak, Novi Sad and Nis each.
Janis Ikonomu of the Greek Ministry for Development and Greek Ambassador to Belgrade Christos Panagopoulos also attended the ceremony in the Hyatt Hotel in Belgrade.
