In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Cubrilo said that she discussed the matters with representatives of the directorate for French citizens living abroad, which is part of the French Minsitry of Foreign Affairs, and Senator Monique Papin.
On June 17 Cubrilo opened “Days of Serbian Culture”, organised by the Assembly of the French Diaspora and held this week at the Serbian embassy in Paris.
The Ministry for Diaspora endorsed the event with €10,000 and assisted in the arrival of participants from Serbia – folk dance group Studenica from Studenica, piano player Branka Ziravac and tenor Slavko Nikolic.
Cubrilo will tomorrow meet with a representative of the Directorate for Continental Europe, part of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and attend the ceremony at which Serbian painter Vladimir Velickovic will become member of the French Academy of Arts.
She will open the third festival of Serbian film, supported by the Ministry with €10,000.
She will also visit associations of young Serbian professionals living and working in France, as well as visit the St Sava Church.
