“May Awards” for development, promotion of sports delivered

Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic-Markovic delivered “May Awards” today which the Serbian Sports Association presents to individuals, experts and organisations for extraordinary results in the development and promotion of sports.

The awards were given to athlete Olivera Jevtic, water polo player Filip Filipovic, tennis players Jelena Jankovic, Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic, Nenad Zimonjic, alpinist Iso Plasnic, karate player Snezana Peric, bowler Arpad Antal and the disabled table tennis player Zlatko Kesler.
Awards were also delivered to coach of the Serbian national water polo team Dejan Udovicic, Olivera Jevtic’s coach Slavko Kuzmanovic, Dragan Bozovic who was declared the most successful sports worker, journalists Zivko Baljkas and Dejan Stevovic and the Jagodina Sports Association and the Serbian Volleyball Association.
Samardzic-Markovic said that sportspeople promote the values which the society should recognise and aim for.
