Sutanovac voiced concern over the precedent and imposed solution that could influence the region and the entire world.
Precisely because of that Serbia is committed to finding a mutually acceptable solution that will respect Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty and at the same time enable Kosovo Albanians to satisfy their legitimate requests for substantial self-government.
He said that the solution to the future status of Kosovo must be found on the basis of principles outlined in the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act and the Framework document on accession into the Partnership for Peace, which concern the protection of the territorial integrity of the member states.
When we say that Serbia will never accept Kosovo's independence, that also means that Serbia will never abandon Euro-Atlantic values. Sutanovac underlined.
Sutanovac said that Serbia is ready to use the Euro-Atlantic framework for strengthening regional cooperation and contribution to a lasting peace in the region.
Sutanovac today met with defence ministers of Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he signed
a Memorandum on Serbia’s participation in a military exercise called “Danubian Guard”, with defence ministers of Romania and Bulgaria.
Today he also talked with Deputy Director-General of the Directorate for Political and Military Affairs of the Council of the European Union Peter Faith and they reached an agreement that a peaceful solution to Kosovo must be found.
The Minister underlined that Serbia will continue to look for allies in finding a compromise for the solution of Kosovo status.
We are convinced that there are allies who will understand our position, Sutanovac said.
