Officials of the Serbian government and the Vojvodina Executive Council met with representatives of wheat and milling organisations, the Subotica farmers’ association and the 100 P Plus farmers’ organisation today and agreed that farmers will get seven dinars per kilo of wheat if paid in three installments. For those wishing to receive one-off payment, wheat price will be 6.5 dinars.
The authorities also pledged to pay a one dinar premium for delivered wheat, plus a further 0.5 dinars for sold wheat. Farmers opting for one-off wheat payment will receive premiums of 1.5 dinars.
The government delegation comprised Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services Bojan Dimitrijevic. The Vojvodina delegation was headed by executive council chairman Djordje Djukic.
