According to her, in 1999, the greatest global power struck our country, destroying hospitals, homes, roads and railways, and attempted to erase our right to biological survival, dignity, identity and integrity.
Our fighters did not yield for 78 days, not for a single moment; they defended the state borders, made history and secured the country’s future, said Đurđević Stamenkovski, adding that the country was among the first in the line of the sovereignist wave and among those calling for the preservation of international law.
Đurđević Stamenkovski said that in the 21st century we should protect the lives of our children and our families, our youth and our future, and that this should be a time of agreement, reconciliation, brotherly love, solidarity, economic connectivity and cultural cooperation.
The Minister emphasised that the Serbian people will never forget what was done to them, and that Serbia will always strive to be a country that respects its suffering and preserves its history, despite attempts to erase collective memory and alter identity.
