Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić discussed today with Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori the most important issues of common interest, as well as the possibilities for accelerating the process of Serbia’s accession to the European Union.
They discussed activities and specific projects for the promotion of the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade over the next few months, in which Serbian and Italian institutions would participate.
In his review of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, Đurić stressed that Belgrade always has a constructive role, expressing his expectation that the EU and its institutions will closely monitor the implementation of the recently reached agreement on the functioning of health and educational institutions in the southern Serbian province in the coming period.
The Serbian Foreign Minister reiterated his position that membership in the European Union remains a strategic commitment and priority of Serbia's foreign policy, expressing gratitude for Italy’s strong support for that process.
