During the talks, the importance of cooperation to date was highlighted, especially in the field of financing infrastructure projects, supporting sustainable development, strengthening the resilience of the economy, as well as the development of local communities.
Glamočić underlined that the European Investment Bank is recognised as one of the key partners in the implementation of projects in the Republic of Serbia.
Special emphasis was placed on future cooperation in the field of water management, including projects in the area of water supply, water resources management, irrigation, as well as flood protection and climate change adaptation.
The Minister pointed out that activities are currently underway to implement the already planned projects as part of the existing financial cycle, whereas the planning of new investments will be aligned with strategic priorities, including the goals defined within the development plans until 2030.
Sorrell pointed out the EIB’s readiness to support Serbia through financial instruments, but also through technical assistance in the preparation and implementation of projects.
