Serbian Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac attended today a ceremony on occasion of formation of the 98th air base of the Serbian Air Force on the Ladjevci Airport near Kraljevo.

Sutanovac presented the Flag of the Serbian Army to commandant of the base Lieutenant Dejan Joksimovic and said that the formation of this air base completes the organisational changes in the Serbian Air Force.
Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Army Lieutenant-General Zdravko Ponos said that one of the priorities in the future work of the Serbian Air Force and the Serbian air defence system is to secure good condition of all army aircraft and additional supplies of fuel for flying.
The ceremony was also attended by several foreign military envoys and commandants of operational units of the Serbian Army.
The 98th air base includes the 98th fighter-bomber regiment, the 119th helicopter regiment, the 285th air base and the 161st air base, as well as several smaller units.
