Nagai recalled that through the “Programme for Meeting Population’ Basic Needs”, the Japanese government has in the past eight years realised 89 projects worth €4.8 million.
Director of the Narodni Front clinic Dusan Stanojevic said that with the highly sophisticated equipment the clinic will be able to process more than one thousand samples a day, whereas the hospital’s need are around one hundred samples each day.
According to Stanojevic, patients had to wait up to two days to get results and now all will be completed in only one minute.
State Secretary of Health Nevena Karanovic recalled that in the past two years, the Ministry of Health invested RSD 12 million in the Narodni Front hospital for maintenance purposes and another RSD 1.7 million for procurement of equipment.
Karanovic said that last year the in vitro fertilisation ward was opened in the clinic, renovated as part of the project of emergency reconstruction of health centres in Serbia, and added that certain reconstruction works are still underway.
Belgrade City Secretary of Health Snezana Stevanovic said that the city government has been working on a huge project to provide air conditioning for the Narodni Front clinic, as well as the clinic in Visegradska Street.
