Jeremic told the Tanjug news agency after arriving in Moscow that Kosovo will be the main subject of talks and reiterated that any kind of independence, as well as the text of the draft resolution on Kosovo which has entered the proceedings at the UN Security Council, are unacceptable.
I want to relate Serbia's position to my collocutors in Russia, Jeremic said and added that he believes that Serbia will continue to enjoy Russian support, whose position has been based so far on the respect for international law, first of all the UN Charter.
Jeremic said that his visit is the first in a series of meetings that will take place, since Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon meet with Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica in Saint Petersburg, while Putin and Serbian President Boris Tadic might meet in June.
Jeremic said that during the visit to Moscow, a series of other topics from the field of bilateral relations will be discussed.
The Minister said that one of the tasks during the stay in Moscow will be to participate in the 11th international economic forum in St. Petersburg.
On the first day of the visit, Jeremic will meet with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Envoy of the Russian President to the Central Federal District Georgy Sergeyevich Poltavchenko and Russian Minister of Emergencies Sergei Shoigu.
