According to a statement by Serbian parliament, the parliament is the first institution in Serbia which will be host to parliament members from more than 40 countries in the PACE at meetings of PACE Bureau and Standing Committee.
Members of the PACE Standing Committee will have the opportunity on May 24 to be informed on Serbia’s priorities during its six-month chairmanship of the CoE Committee of Ministers by top Serbian officials, at a gathering in Sava Centre, Belgrade.
As part of the presentation of the campaign which aims to promote equal participation of women and men in decision-making and prevent domestic violence, parliament and the CoE Belgrade Office will organise a roundtable discussion on the subject, “Role of parliament in promoting equal participation of women and men in decision-making and prevention of domestic violence”.
Following the meeting of the Standing Committee, in cooperation with the PACE Sub-Committee on equal participation of women and men in decision-making and Serbian parliament, an exhibition of documentary photographs on the theme will be opened in the Sava Centre.
