Serbian President welcomes election of new government

Serbian President Boris Tadic congratulated all members of the government and Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica on the election of the new government.
“Serbia expects that the new democratic government will immediately begin work on realisation of priorities: defence of state and national interests in Kosovo-Metohija, conclusion of cooperation with the Hague tribunal, fight against organised crime and corruption and create better living conditions for all citizens in the process of European integration. I expect that the new government will do its work with responsibility and honesty,” reads the congratulatory message from the Serbian President.
