Director of the Serbian Tax Administration Vladimir Ilic said that the administration will open a centre for education and documentation in Belgrade on Friday, where employees and taxpayers will be trained to use new tax regulations.
Ilic told the Beta news agency that the project is worth €1.4 million, set aside by the Tax Administration and the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR).
Ilic said that the centres for education and documentation have already been opened in Novi Sad and Nis, and that the network will be extended to Belgrade and Kragujevac.
The centre will include a centre for large taxpayers, which is in line with European standards. Ilic said that there are currently 500 large taxpayers, who will be enabled to pay their liabilities more quickly and easily.
