Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic said today during the visit to renovated premises of the District public prosecutor's office in Zajecar that this is one of the best and most efficient prosecutor's offices in Serbia.
After a visit to the municipal court in Zajecar, he delivered the keys to a "Lada Niva" off-road vehicle to the court's president Zoran Markovic that will be used during investigations.
He said that the Zajecar municipal court achieved the best results in the computerisation and added that €11 million from court fees have been invested in the reconstruction of 134 courts and prosecutor's offices in Serbia in the past two and a half years.
The Minister announced that €30 million will be invested from the National Investment Plan into equipping of judiciary organs this year.
He added that the renovation of the building of the Court of Appeals in Belgrade will have been completed by April and that the state set aside€18 million from the budget for the renovation and equipment of this court.
Stojkovic said that general courts improved their efficiency by 20% and commercial courts by 50%, explaining that an efficient commercial court gives security to foreign investors.
