Ilic said on the occasion that keys were given to 10 families and the building project was financed by the Ministry of Capital Investment with a sum of RSD 17 million, while the city secured building land and infrastructure.
The Minister said that four more families in Pasi Poljana will get houses, and funds will also be set aside for improving ground conditions in the location.
He pointed to the fact that the government has fulfilled all its obligations towards families which lost their houses in natural disasters in some 50 cities of Serbia.
The Minister said that the cost of construction in Pasi Poljana was €260 per square meter and the aim is to make that model of building an example for further construction work.
According to Ilic, in that manner young married couples can acquire flats, and the government will begin work on construction of houses for seriously disabled persons where space will be designed according to their needs.
Every family received, besides the house of an area which adequately compensates for the house they lost, land covering an area of three hectares, said the Minister.
Ilic visited the newly built Mediana Bridge in Nis, which connects the areas of Donja Vrezina with Duvaniste, and also inspected construction works being conducted on a power station on the right bank of the Nisava.
The new bridge was built with funds worth RSD 110 million, and construction was financed with privatization proceeds of the city, while the Ministry of Capital Investments allocated a sum of RSD 570 million for the construction of the power station.
