Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic visited the elementary school Ivan Goran Kovacic where candidates took the exam and said that the introduction of this exam is one of the reform activities within the process of the professionalisation of education.
Vuksanovic explained that based on the results of the exam, which will be known in a few days, the Ministry will compose a rulebook on issuing licences for school principals.
The first group of candidates comprises people from all sectors of the education system who in the past three months underwent training to prepare for the exam.
Apart from pedagogical skills, the exam also tests candidates' managerial skills as principals are also required to have satisfactory leadership skills.
The test also analyses the candidates' knowledge of the learning process, time and work management, human resource management, stimulation of team work as well as result planning and projecting.
