Simovic said that the aim of the programme is formation of 15 business incubators and 10 clusters over the next four years, with the development of institutions for support to business operations, growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
This will help create new jobs and that will reduce unemployment, as one of the major problems in Serbia. According to the Programme, the cost for opening a new job is approximately €7,000.
Simovic said that the main activities of this programme will be building institutions at the national, regional and local level, establishment and development of business incubators and clusters, as well as their linking in business and innovation.
She recalled that the national programme for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises Entranse was launched in 2005 with the financial support of Norwegian government.
First business incubators were opened in Nis, Knjazevac and Zrenjanin, Simovic said adding that initiatives for opening another 24 business incubators and three clusters in Serbia were launched as part of Entranse campaign.
