During a visit to the branch office of the National Employment Service in Sabac, Lalovic said that in the last three years 670,000 people found jobs through this service. He added that a lot has been done concerning training of unqualified workers for certain jobs, who make up approximately 40% of all unemployed.
He said that as of January 1, the second set of incentives in the field of tax policy and contributions for groups of unemployed below 30 and above 45 will come into force.
According to Lalovic, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy has in the past three years achieved greatest success in poverty reduction and improving the position of the disabled.
He announced that in 100 municipalities in Serbia, including Sabac, a project will be realised to set up daily care for mentally disadvantaged children. He also recalled that RSD 70 million has already been provided for the construction of the House of Good Will within the Social Centre for Children with Autism in Sabac.
During his stay in Sabac Lalovic visited the gerontology centre where he talked with the management and the beneficiaries of the centre. After that he visited Fenster As company which employed an additional 25 workers through the regional programme of the National Employment Service.
Minister Lalovic will visit Loznica tomorrow.
