Serbia, Italy cooperate in fight against organised crime

Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic today met with Under Secretary of State for Justice Alberto Maritari to discuss the fight against organised crime and legal cooperation between Serbia and Italy.

Stojkovic and Maritari agreed that the meeting today is of great importance for further cooperation of the two ministries which will largely contribute to joint fight against organised crime.
It was agreed in the meeting to create a draft agreement on direct contact and cooperation of Italian and Serbian judges and attorneys, that will be signed by Italian and Serbian justice ministers.
Tighter cooperation of police units is also necessary for fighting organised crime, the two officials agreed.
