Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar said that in the UN Security Council session in New York today he will present Serbian government’s clear stance that Serbian authorities are dedicated to cooperation with the Hague tribunal as it is in Serbia’s best interest to end cooperation with The Hague.
Loncar, who is also member of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, told Beta that Serbia is fully committed to fulfilling of all its obligations to the tribunal.
He also said that the session which will address a semi-annual work plan will be occasion to state what Serbia has done from June to date.
Loncar recalled the Action Plan for completing cooperation with The Hague adopted by the Serbian government in June. He also said that he will point out that the Serbian government met many of the requests of the tribunal, including access to documents and archives.
Loncar said that this session will be a good opportunity to present a clear stand that Serbia is ready to take over some of the cases from the Hague tribunal.
