Lalovic said that the brochure is a result of cooperation between the Ministry and the Institute of Social Sciences and underlined that it is only a part of government's wider efforts to conduct a pro-natal policy, since only in past two years Serbia's population has been reduced by the size of an entire town.
Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and one of the authors of the brochure Mirjana Rasovic said that "The alphabet of reproductive health" is first of all intended for pupils of senior grades of the elementary school. The idea is to give them education on sexual behaviour so that the number of side effects could be reduced.
Rasovic said that the brochure is also intended for teachers since topics such as puberty, emotional life of the young, physiology of reproduction, adolescent pregnancy, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and the importance of family and children, can be discussed as part of many school subjects.
