Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic opened the education fair in Nis today themed "The Bologna Process and Education, Science, Inventions and Employment in Serbia".
Vuksanovic explained that the Bologna way of studying means that a professor knows his or her students very well and works with them constantly which helps students finish one year after another, however there is still some resistance towards this process in Serbia.
The Minister said that the government set aside RSD 100 million last year for the reconstruction of law and economics faculty buildings, whereas for the reconstruction of three technical faculties in Nis in 2007 around €1 million will be set aside.
Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic said that linking education and employment is the key to Serbia's future.
He also stressed that Serbia will develop as much as the education reform is implemented in the country.
