Serbian delegation gets support from WTO officials in Geneva

Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic said today that in the third round of negotiations with representatives of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva, the Serbian delegation received support for Serbia's accession to this organisation in 2008.
In a telephone statement to Tanjug, Parivodic said that WTO officials highly praised Serbia's work on fulfilling conditions for accession to this international organisation.
The Minister said that today's multilateral talks were attended by representatives of twenty countries and specified that all big countries, such as the US, China, Japan, Australia, Canada, Switzerland and the European Commission voiced support to Serbia.
Parivodic said that two more working meetings should be held in 2007, after which the report on Serbia's fulfilment of conditions for accession to WTO will be presented.
