Inaugurating the international education fair “Putokazi” in Novi Sad, Vuksanovic said that despite all our ups and downs we have nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to the quality of our educated work force and institutions because Serbia is among the top countries according to the quality of professors and higher education establishments.
He pointed to the fact that according to universal standards of European countries, during the previous 15 months Serbia has improved its rating in higher education twofold, so that it currently holds fourth place in that area.
The Minister stressed that Serbia is particularly investing in the development of secondary vocational education, which has flourished during previous years, considering the fact that 80% of students who finish secondary vocational education are employed three months after finishing school.
The Minister of Education and Sport presented reforms of the secondary vocational and higher education to visitors at the fair through a panel discussion titled “Education Reforms – Partnership for Development”.
