Prime Minister in a caretaker capacity Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, stated that nothing that could disrupt public order and peace in the country on the day of the early parliamentary elections, 25 October, will or should happen.
Speaking on K1 TV, Macut underlined that life and work must continue as normal after the elections and that it would be entirely wrong to perceive that issues need to be resolved through some sort of coup.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that, despite protests over the past two years, Serbia has managed to approach the parliamentary elections in a calm atmosphere.
He pointed out that, should any incidents or unrest occur on the election day or afterwards, public security measures will be implemented and that steps will be taken to ensure security.
