Macut underlined that these healthcare institutions serve as a vital pillar, not only for the residents of Petrovac na Mlavi but also for the populations of the municipalities of Žagubica, Kučevo and Žabari given that beyond providing continuous healthcare to a large number of citizens, the facilities conduct over 45,000 specialist examinations and admit more than 4,000 patients annually.
He emphasised that strengthening human resources, improving working conditions, and ensuring access to modern diagnostic tools and treatments are among the government’s top priorities.
Macut underscored that a robust healthcare system is built by strengthening hospitals and primary healthcare centres throughout Serbia, adding that no part of the country should be left behind.
The Prime Minister previously visited the Municipality of Žagubica, where he discussed completed and upcoming infrastructure projects, including the reconstruction of the sewerage network and an elementary school, with President of the local government Safet Pavlović and Head of the Braničevo Administrative District Vojislav Pejić.
