Mobilkom Austria gets third mobile telephony licence in Serbia

The Serbian Telecommunication Agency (RATEL) proclaimed the only bidder for the third licence of the Serbian mobile telephony, company Mobilkom Austria AG, the winner of the public competition with the amount of €320,000,001.

A statement issued by RATEL reads that a commission for implementation of the procedure of public competition for the issue of one Licence for public mobile telecommunications network and services of the public mobile telecommunications network in line with GSM/GSM 1800 and UMTS/IMT 2000 standard for the territory of the Republic of Serbia, today opened the offer of the only bidder.
The commission concluded that the financial offer of Mobilkom Austria AG is in line with requisites prescribed and that this company can be proclaimed the winner of the public competition. The amount achieved at the public bidding is €320,000,001.
