Cooperation with The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is being successfully realised since 2003 through the project “Controlling of HIV/AIDS in Serbia – a comprehensive country strategy and an emergency action plan”, for the period from 2003 to 2007, and is worth $3,574,210. Another project is “Control of tuberculosis in Serbia”, for the period from 2004 to 2006 and costs $2,087,979.
The successful realisation of these projects is a factor which contributed to the approval of the new project “Controlling of HIV/AIDS in Serbia”, which will be implemented from 2007 to 2012, and costs $12.2 million.
It is recalled in the statement that in August this year the project “Control of tuberculosis in Serbia” was approved, which is worth $2 million, and is to be realised from 2006 to 2009.
