During the visit, possibilities for more intensive cooperation in the field of endocrinology, exchange of professional experiences, joint education of medical personnel and development of scientific research projects in healthcare were discussed, and special attention was paid to the application of modern treatment methods, digitalisation of the healthcare system and improvement of the quality of healthcare services.
Macut emphasised that cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska in the field of healthcare is strong and successful, but that there is room for it to be even more efficient and modern, especially in the interest of citizens living in these areas.
He stated that he was impressed by the progress of the University Clinical Centre of Republika Srpska and assessed that this institution, through the development of professional capacities and modern treatment methods, is gaining the dimension of a regional centre.
According to him, connecting technologies, exchanging knowledge and harmonising standards with clinical centres in Serbia contribute to improving patient treatment and doctor education, without which clinical centres in Serbia remain completely open to cooperation with Republika Srpska.
The Prime Minister emphasised that there is significant room for additional training of young doctors, development of scientific research and implementation of new joint projects, expressing his belief that Serbia and Republika Srpska will continue to build a cohesive scientific and professional community.
