Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, was inaugurated as a foreign member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republika Srpska (ANURS) in Banja Luka today.
At a meeting with President of ANURS Academician Dragoljub Mirjanić it was emphasised that the inauguration of Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, constitutes a particularly high recognition of his outstanding scientific, professional and academic work, the achievements he has attained in the fields of medicine and higher education, as well as his significant contribution to the development of scientific cooperation and the strengthening of ties among academic communities.
Macut stated that membership in the Academy is a great honour and an obligation to continue, in the period ahead, to strengthen scientific cooperation and contribute to the preservation of a unified scientific and cultural space.
The interlocutors emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation between academic and research institutions, the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as support for young researchers as the bearers of future scientific development.
