Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, began a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt today, during which he will participate in the international conference “Africa Health ExCon 2026” in Cairo.
The Serbian Prime Minister was welcomed at the Cairo airport by Minister of Health of Egypt Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Serbian Ambassador to Cairo Miroslav Šestović.
Macut and the Minister of Health of Egypt exchanged experiences on the healthcare systems of Serbia and Egypt, as well as opinions on the possibilities for improving cooperation in the fields of medicine, healthcare and science.
The Prime Minister expressed his belief that the visit to Egypt will contribute to the further strengthening of the traditionally good relations between the two countries and open up new opportunities for cooperation.
During his visit to Egypt, Macut will also meet with the country’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, as well as representatives of the ministries responsible for trade, investment, tourism, and public procurement.
