Minister of Education Professor Dejan Vuk Stanković, PhD, met today, on the sidelines of the Education World Forum in London, with education ministers and officials from several countries.
Stanković spoke with Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Education, Research, Development and Youth of Slovakia Tomáš Drucker and UK Secretary of State for Education Bridget Phillipson.
According to his assessment, these meetings represent an additional step towards deepening relations with these countries and open up opportunities for further enhancement of cooperation in the field of education, exchange of examples of good practice and promotion of national priorities and reforms in education.
The Minister recalled that Serbia and Azerbaijan signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement in 2018, stressing that there is room for improving cooperation in the field of education.
Stanković announced that this cooperation will be intensified in the coming period and added that the Azerbaijani side sees Serbia as a reliable partner in the process of developing education.
The Minister also said that Serbia has good cooperation with Slovakia in the field of education, pointing out that it can be further improved.
He noted that he discussed digitalisation in education and the application of artificial intelligence and robotics with the UK Secretary of State for Education.
It was concluded during the meeting that cooperation between Serbia and the United Kingdom in the field of education is good and that there is mutual readiness for its further enhancement.
