Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić met today with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Serbia, led by Mission Chief Annette Kyobe, to discuss improvements to the digitalisation of the Serbian judiciary.
The meeting, held at the premises of the Ministry of Justice, highlighted the importance of modernising the judicial system through the application of modern digital tools that contribute to greater efficiency, transparency and accessibility of justice to individuals and businesses.
Challenges in implementing digital solutions were also discussed, as well as the opportunities to enhance cooperation in order to strengthen institutional capacities and harmonisation with international standards.
Vujić informed the IMF representatives about the Ministry’s achievements in the field of digitalisation to date, as well as planned activities aimed at further developing e-Justice.
The IMF delegation expressed support for the reform processes in the Serbian judiciary, especially regarding digital transformation, as a key factor for improving the business environment and the rule of law.
The talks confirmed the commitment to continuing cooperation through the exchange of expertise and support for projects that contribute to the further modernisation of the judicial system of the Republic of Serbia, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice.
