The document provides for strengthening agricultural cooperation between Serbia and Italy across 22 areas, which, among other matters, includes the exchange of knowledge and experience, implementation of twinning projects and joint participation in agricultural fairs.
Glamočić, who is visiting Italy to take part in the Vinitaly fair, noted that, in talks with Lollobrigida, action plans had been defined and regular meetings in Serbia and Italy agreed upon in order to monitor the implementation of the planned activities.
He noted that Italy is one of Serbia’s most important foreign trade partners – ranking third, after Germany and China – and at the same time the second most significant export market for Serbian products.
According to him, data show that in the first two months of the current year, Serbia’s exports to Italy increased by more than 70% compared to the same period last year, which best illustrates the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Lollobrigida emphasised that the signing of the MoU entails further strengthening of the strong partnership and expansion of cooperation in agriculture, particularly in the areas of the application of modern technologies, digitalisation of agriculture and the introduction of systems based on artificial intelligence.
