Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today, during a meeting with State Secretary (West) at the Ministry of External Affairs of India Sibi George, that Serbia is firmly committed to further strengthening comprehensive cooperation with India, while intensifying political dialogue and contacts at the high and top levels.

During the talks with George, who is in Serbia to participate in the ninth bilateral political consultations between the two ministries, Đurić assessed that these consultations represent an important mechanism for advancing bilateral relations and provide new impetus to their further development.
The Minister conveyed Serbia’s gratitude to India for its consistent support for preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, as well as for its principled stance on non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of “Kosovo”, with the conviction that this position will remain unchanged.
Speaking about economic cooperation, he emphasised that Serbia is an economically stable country, focused on dynamic development and significant investments in infrastructure projects, and that in this context he sees significant room for enhancing cooperation with India.
