During the meeting, which was also attended by Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović, they discussed the intensification of political cooperation.
High-level visits would also give additional impetus to the strengthening of ties between the two countries, and during today’s meeting, the head of Serbian diplomacy extended an invitation to the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Serbia.
Speaking about strengthening cooperation, Đurić expressed interest in connecting in a number of areas, among which the economy and business stand out.
The energy situation in the Republic of Serbia and the issue of energy independence were highlighted as one of the most important strategic topics today.
The current discussions on the modalities of the European Union enlargement policy and the European path of the Republic of Serbia were also discussed, and Minister Đurić expressed expectations that Lithuania would provide support for the opening of Cluster 3, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
