Đedović Handanović stated that ENEC expressed its readiness to share a roadmap for establishing a nuclear programme and further developing cooperation with our institutions and companies on this issue.
The Minister pointed out that Serbia will consider whether it can join the international ENEC programme through which they share experiences and consider investments in nuclear programmes in countries around the world.
According to her, Serbia has so far signed several memorandums and agreements on cooperation with South Korea, France, the USA, and Russia, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience in the field of nuclear energy.
There are also initiatives to expand cooperation to other countries that can help in the transfer of knowledge, good practices, and technological standards that are key to the safe and efficient management of nuclear facilities, she said.
This visit is also an opportunity to discuss potential cooperation in this area, using their expertise, and exchanging experiences in order to better prepare for the challenges posed by the nuclear programme, the Minister underlined.
She added that Serbia is currently focused on strengthening ties between institutions in our country, strengthening the human resource base, and cooperating with partners from the UAE who can help us with their knowledge and experience.
