The Serbian Statistics Office has stated that Serbia’s average gross salary in August amounted to 21,098 dinars, which is by 1.13% higher in nominal terms and by 0.83% more in real terms than the average salary in July.
The average net salary in August stood at 21,925 dinars, or 0.69% more in nominal and 0.39% in real terms than in July.
Compared with the same month of 2005, the August net salary rose 22.27% nominally and 9.27% in real terms.
The average take-home salary in August nominally rose by 22.29% and 9.29% compared with the same month last year.
The average net salary paid out from January to August 2006 rose 24.58% nominally and 9.76% in real terms against the same period last year, according to the Statistics Office.
Serbia’s average gross salary in the January-August 2006 rose 24.63% and 9.81% in nominal and real terms respectively against the same period in 2005.
