Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić held an annual meeting today with the liaison officers of the Ministry of the Interior, deployed in Serbian embassies and consulates around the world.
The meeting looked at ways to further improve police cooperation in a joint response to all security challenges and threats.
Dačić emphasised that for a decade and a half, since the establishment of this practice, police attachés have been a significant asset of the Serbian police in the fight against crime that knows no borders.
Good cooperation between police forces, which includes regular exchange of operational information, enables an efficient fight against crime, the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out, adding that the Ministry of the Interior, through the work of police attachés, confirms its role as a reliable partner in this joint fight.
Dačić highlighted the full commitment of the Ministry of the Interior to the fight against organised crime, as well as to maintaining security in the region and globally.
