Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior in a caretaker capacity Ivica Dačić met today with the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Serbia, Naohiro Tsutsumi.
The two officials confirmed the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and reached an agreement to continue cooperation in areas of mutual interest, such as the fight against organised and cybercrime and emergency management.
Dačić particularly welcomed the fact that Japan will showcase its rich cultural heritage and economic potential at Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade.
Ambassador Tsutsumi confirmed Japan’s full readiness to support the Serbian Ministry of the Interior through the exchange of security expertise and technologies in organising the event and ensuring maximum security for this major international gathering.
