Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić today received Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Serbia Carlos Félix Corona on a farewell visit and on that occasion conveyed his gratitude for his contribution to the further strengthening of relations between the two countries.

Dačić emphasised that Serbia sees Mexico as a reliable ally, with a consistent position when it comes to respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and a country that has always been on the side of international law.
He expressed his gratitude for Mexico's unconditional support for Serbia in international organisations, emphasising the importance of marking the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that Serbia and Mexico are bound by traditional friendship, as evidenced by the opening of Mexican Street in Belgrade in November last year.
Dačić wished the Ambassador much success in the future, confident that his successor will continue to build bridges of friendship and work to further improve cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
