Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today in Skopje with Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski to discuss the improvement of bilateral relations, economic cooperation and infrastructure connectivity.
During the talks, the prime ministers of the two countries emphasised the development of trade, joint energy projects and facilitating the movement of people and goods, agreeing that it is necessary to strengthen cooperation by establishing a so-called fast line of communication between the two governments.
Macut expressed support for the reform processes in North Macedonia and stressed that Belgrade and Skopje will continue to cooperate on joint projects that are in the interest of the citizens of both countries.
Mickoski emphasised that Serbia is a sincere partner and friend, with whom North Macedonia shares the vision of a stable, secure and prosperous Balkans.
Both sides agreed that the deepening of friendly relations between North Macedonia and Serbia represents a significant contribution to regional stability and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
During his working visit to Skopje, Prime Minister Macut also met with Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia Ivan Stoilkovikj.
