Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš visited the construction site of Specialised Expo 2027 in Surčin today, where they were briefed on the dynamics of the work on the implementation of one of the most significant development projects in Serbia.

The tour was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, who presented the Expo 2027 project, as well as the investment programme “Serbia 2027 – Leap into the Future”.
Prime Minister Macut emphasised that Expo 2027 is not just the organisation of a major international event, but a strong development project that will leave lasting results for the citizens of Serbia.
This is an opportunity for Serbia to further improve its infrastructure, attract new investments, create new jobs and present its potential to the whole world.
Everything we build today will remain for future generations and will be the basis for further economic growth and development of our country, said Prime Minister Macut.
142 countries and international organisations have confirmed their participation in Expo 2027, which testifies to the great international interest and is a strong confirmation that Belgrade and Serbia will be a good host of the largest specialised exhibition to date.
During the visit, the possibilities for further improving economic cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic were also discussed, with the assessment that Expo 2027 represents an additional opportunity for connecting the economies of the two countries and implementing new joint projects.
